First and foremost, I am a bunny.

Who is this Naus person?:
I go by many names - I have tons of usernames on many different websites including CeliaKoda (NaNoWriMo and last.fm) Nausicaa (TV Tropes) and, um, this one. [livejournal.com profile] hippyjolteon was a name I thought of back in the day when playing Pokémon and giving each of my team really normal names. Nigel the Hippy Jolteon was one of them. Some of my friends call me Mouse. My real name is Phoebe. REAL LIFE IS FOR SISSIES.
Where is this Naus person?: I live in a village in leafy Surrey but my real home is London.
Age: Nineties Kid
Feeding the Naus: I am vegetarian and have been all my life. No, I don't want it any other way.
But what does she do?: I am an English Student®.

Behold, my eek. If any of you don't know what I look like, THIS IS ME. In my natural habitat, the library.

HOW I TALK

On the internet, I USE CAPSLOCK QUITE A LOT. I am not as loud as this in real life, though I tend to go off on similar tangents. I Use Big Words, I Use Little Words, and I overuse the word "shiny". Nobody has criticised me for this yet.
I also gratuitously use French phrases in my speech and am utterly in love with Polari.  The latter is probably because I was raised on Round The Horne when I was younger, the former is probably because I did French until I left sixth-form.
I often have conversations entirely in song lyrics with friends/parents/Boyshape.
When I am on the internet, I pothole to TV Tropes. In real-life and on the intertubes, I make too many references to obscure media and memes. I should be locked away for this.

I don't play The Game. But you just lost it.

WHERE I CAME FROM

There were no hills at all. The land was flat, the highway straight and wide.
In short, I have A BORING HERITAGE. My mother has recently looked into our family history, and I have such a boring, whitewhitewhite background. My descendants are from SURREY and PARTS OF LONDON. We have gone NOWHERE since then. I'm around a quarter Welsh. Yes, I am less Welsh than I thought I was. Go figure.

SEX TYPE THINGS

I have been going out with, making bad puns, writing awfully hilarious Supernatural fan fiction trading bizarre innuendoes and finding Bryan Ferry hilarious with Awesome Boyfriend (a.k.a. Boyshape, [livejournal.com profile] daeres, R, Ruairi, Dude) since December 2009. We are both complete dorks, and we wouldn't change that for the world.

I am pansexual, which isn't another cool word for being bi; neither does it mean that I'll frack anything that moves. It doesn't mean that I like men as well as women, either. It means I like people - outside and inside the gender binary.

I am also genderqueer. On some days, I feel more feminine or more masculine than I do on other days. In general, I feel as if I fall right outside the gender binary. I'm still not exactly sure how I should define myself, but knowing something is a start.

UNMENTIONABLES

- Feminist.
- Agnostic-Pagan.
- Fluffy green liberal type.
- I'm... pretty quiet, when it comes to politics, religion and ideology, mostly because I still don't know where I stand in the grand scheme of things.

SYNAESTHESIA

I have audiovisual synaesthesia, mostly triggered by music rather than surrounding noises. The way that different pieces of music look varies constantly, but the best way for me to describe my synaesthesia is that it's a bit like having my own little fireworks display in my head when I listen to music. Different guitar sounds, different singers, basslines, instruments have completely different patterns and colours, but certain songs have fixed visuals and patterns. It's so hard to talk about this without gushing.

MEDIAFANDOMYWHEE

Litterachur
Before you start reading this, I could just tell you that I like books and be done with it. But no. I have a lot more to say about the matter. Firstly, I am having a love affair with Modernism. I'm not sure how it started, but I fell in love with so many writers from that era that I just had to continue my relationship with it.
I love poetry as much as I enjoy novels.
As much as I love quite a lot of "literary fiction", I am not an elitist when it comes to literature. (Well, I sort of am, but not as much as one might think I would be). I have such a love for anything weird, and anything with a dystopian future is often wonderful in my eyes. There are so many books that I could mention at this point, but I don't want to write about things such as this too much.

I try to write, myself, and I hope to do an MA in Poetic Practice in a couple of years, which should be fun. As of now, I have a completed first draft of a novel, some tiny poems and a completed first draft of a play. I also have tons of other pieces dotted around my hard drive that I've never got round to completing.

Films
Here are five films that I think you should watch:
Midnight Run
Velvet Goldmine
Sleeper
Up
Wings of Desire

Music
I am a complete dork for music. I like just about everything - and no, I am not one of those people who says "I like everything BUT NOT RAP OR COUNTRY" because hey, I do like rap and country. I try to listen to as much different music as I possibly can, but I do have a few obsessions. I am absolutely in love with the glam-rock era, especially Roxy Music and David Bowie. It's a large proportion of the music that I grew up on, thanks to my mother, and I wouldn't live without it.
Brian Eno is an inspiration. <3
I think that Frank Zappa is one of the most awesome musicians who has ever existed, and I try my best to follow his teachings. <3 As well as being Excellent on his own, he also acted as something of a gateway drug - if it wasn't for Frank, I wouldn't have got into twentieth-century experimental/orchestral music, which is NOT CLASSICAL. CLASSICAL IS AN ERA, not a genre. /rant
My favourite band ever is U2. I think most people who know me know this. If you're interested in this, then my favourite album is Pop, I have seen them live twice (Vertigo tour and 360º tour) and my favourite member of the band is Adam Clayton. I have a soft spot for the Zoo TV tour - especially a certain Mr. MacPhisto, and regard the Original Soundtracks 1 as a U2 album. My favourite U2 song is One, because it's One, gorrammit.
This is my last.fm, which I use a lot.

I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV. Current obsessions include Battlestar Galactica (the 2000s version), most Whedon, Whose Line is it Anyway?, The Mighty Boosh, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Father Ted, Glee, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Phineas and Ferb, a lot of anime, stuff involving Charlie Brooker, stuff involving Derren Brown and Mock The Week. I also like Pokémon far more than I really should do.

Comedy
I want to be Stewart Lee when I grow up.
I am in the Holloway Players, my university's improv comedy group. They are my Nakama. I also attempt to do stand-up and write sketches, with varying results.
